Pre-Relationships

I often wonder whether the people who we think know what we think actually know at all. Never is this confusion and pondering clearer than in the realms of attraction.

It is peculiar to say the least how one can think that someone holds fanciful feelings towards them, but is not sure if they requite and either way wants that someone to keep on holding those feelings, even if they might not be genuine at all. This sort of confusion is constant in life.

If someone A does like someone B then why doesn't A make it undeniably and reliably certain? Is it perhaps they are in the same situation as one in that they don't know how they feel but want the other to keep feeling that way just in case they do find them attractive?

Then this asks the question- will this cycle ever end? Will B ever make up their mind about A and will A ever decide to make a move based upon their feelings, if they have any at all? Or will they both keep waiting for the other to make a definitive 'yes' or 'no' gesture, whilst shunning all other hopes of a relationship until they both die alone with cats.... or dogs... whatever takes your fancy.
